This is the most recently constructed church built on the spot
where St. Bernadette stood on the day of the last Apparition. Work commenced
on the 14th December 1986 and it was blessed and opened 25th
March 1988 by Mgr Donze, Bishop of Tarbes and Lourdes.
The building is a modern concrete structure, which can be divided into two churches as required by removing a folding wall.
Over the centre of the alter hangs a huge image of Christ in gilded wood.
