To say the rosary

Decide which set of Mysteries is to be said, or begin the recitation of the whole rosary with the Joyful Mysteries.

Kiss the cross, and make the sign of the cross, recite the Apostles’ Creed.

On the first bead of the pendant (o) , recite the Our Father.

On the second bead of the pendant (x), recite a Hail Mary, as a prayer for faith.
On the third bead of the pendant (x), recite a Hail Mary, as a prayer for hope.
On the fourth bead of the pendant (x), recite a Hail Mary, as a prayer for charity.

On the fifth bead of the pendant (o), recite a Glory Be.

At this point one should offer the intention for which the rosary is being said, if there is no medal, this is done on the fifth bead (o), if there is a medal, this is done on the medal [M].

Still on the fifth bead (o) or the medal [M], state the first Mystery, then recite the Our Father.
Recite a Hail Mary on each of the next ten beads (x).
On the next bead (o) recite a Glory Be.

On the same bead (o), state the second Mystery, then recite the Our Father.
Recite a Hail Mary on each of the next ten beads (x).
On the next bead (o) recite a Glory Be.

On the same bead (o), state the third Mystery, then recite the Our Father.
Recite a Hail Mary on each of the next ten beads (x).
On the next bead (o) recite a Glory Be.

On the same bead (o), state the fourth Mystery, then recite the Our Father.
Recite a Hail Mary on each of the next ten beads (x).
On the next bead (o) recite a Glory Be.

On the same bead (o), state the fifth Mystery, then recite the Our Father.
Recite a Hail Mary on each of the next ten beads (x).
On the last bead (o) or the medal [M], recite a Glory Be.

Recite a concluding prayer, such as the Hail Holy Queen or Memorare, possibly followed by the Litany of Loreto.
