The stage, CA Hospitalité, and Specialist Groups
If you are going on stage in August, and intend to
work with the Catholic Association Hospitalité in the following pilgrimage
week, please remember to inform your head
of service that you will be coming or they might not know to allocate you
a role on the rota. If you are a branc or handmaid, there are usually no problems
at all with doing the August stage and the CA pilgrimage, since the
pilgrimage needs people in Lourdes before the pilgrimage arrives to get things
ready and to welcome them at the airport and the Accueil. Some of you may be
worried that coming on stage will conflict with other Lourdes groups
that you're involved with. Well, as a general rule, there is no reason why you
shouldn't be able to do stage, followed by your normal CA work, especially
since being a stagiaire is often useful to a group (but check with
your group leader first). For example, if you enjoy staying with the Youth in
their hotel during the second week, this is still possible, if you book it with
Tangneys through the group leader. If you are part of the Glanfield group, you
can meet up with the others when they arrive.
All stagiaires joining the CA in August must complete
a CA helper’s application form,
available from the usual places.
