CA Contribution (formerly the CA Levy) - 2026

The Catholic Association Trustees have recently decided to rename the CA Levy to the CA Contribution, and to increase this to £35:slightly to cover costs.

Rename:

We have renamed the "Levy" to "Contribution", to reflect more accurately what it actually is, namely a contribution towards the administrative costs of the pilgrimage (which are circa £20,000 per annum), including: lanyards, badges, booklets, bookings, the Lourdes sanctuaries’ levy, meetings, planning costs, accounts - and much more.

All the time and expertise of the CA is given voluntarily: we have NO paid assistance.

Increase to £35

We have decided to increase the CA Contribution from £30 to £35. This is the first time the levy has been increased in a very long time and this is still below inflation. It remains £5 for Accueil pilgrims, the CA Young Helpers Group, and the Glanfield Children's Group.

We are not able to classify this contribution as a donation and therefore cannot claim Gift Aid.
