Happy Feast of the Assumption

Across the UK, it is possible to find many Churches which are dedicated to Saint Mary. This fact reminds us that the Blessed Virgin Mary is first among the saints. The feast of the Assumption is the greatest feast day among her many feasts. In Lourdes, it is a great celebration of joy and hope.

In the Archdiocese of Southwark, there is a beautiful statue of the Assumption at the Order of Carmelites priory in Aylesford (pictured below).
